The famous T-Rex break out scene from the original Jurassic Park has been reimagined in LEGO.

Released a day after Jurassic World hit cinemas, the eight minute clip captures the terrifying moment, complete with treacherous weather, a cowardly Martin Ferrero – who was eaten on the toilet – and a fearless flame throwing LEGO Jeff Goldblum.

The fan created video by MacroLEGO Universe – the guys behind the Back to the Future stop motion animation video which was released earlier this year – is surprisingly tense.

Speaking about the filming process, the creators said the process of recreating the iconic scene from the Oscar-winning film was "tough" but "fun".

"The hardest part is definitely trying to match up the miniature shooting with enough frames to match the film action, tiny subtleties you see on film can be hard to translate, but it's fun to try," they said.

"All the little details make up the action, so the editing and effects can also be tough. Had a talented pair of builders on hand who put together the amazing sets and cars which made it easy to shoot with, as they were also incredibly detailed, and functional for filming."

Jurassic World is out now.
