Piers Morgan received a slap on the head on This Morning Britain – after daring to insult Star Wars.

The TV presenter was complaining about new franchise entry Rogue One while correspondent Richard Arnold was trying to introduce an interview withits star Felicity Jones.

Morgan stepped up from the sofa and walked in front of Arnold, shouting: “I don’t get it.”

Arnold landed a smack on Morgan’s head while trying to waft him away, as Susanna Reid shrieked in the background.

Before the incident, the trio were discussing how much Morgan dislikes Star Wars.

“I know you’re not a fan of the saga,” Arnold said to him.

“Any chance of a spin-off to the spin-offs?” Morgan replied, dryly.

He added: “I don’t get it. I do not get Star Wars, I’ve never watched it, I would never watch it. I don’t get it, I don’t get the spin-offs.”
