Ruth Langsford was left red-faced as she forgot her own wedding anniversary while chatting about Royal wedding fever on This Morning.

Langsford and partner Eamonn Holmes, who were presenting on a Thursday while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield attended This Morning Live, were chatting to Trinny Woodall about wedding day weather.

Holmes explained: “Well we got married in June and it was the hottest day of the year,” before prompting Langsford to offer the date of their wedding.

But Langsford faltered as she insisted they wed on June 30, before being corrected that it was actually June 26.

Holmes continued: “There you go, live on television, Ruth Langsford not knowing when she was married.”

The TV couple married in 2010, although neither of them could recall the year when questioned as Langsford tried to segue into the next segment.

Speaking to The Sun, Langsford said: “I insist now on being paid the same. I insist now that I do. But as we all know, in the past I’ve worked not just with Eamonn.

“The thing is you don’t normally discuss your pay when you’re a co-presenter, but obviously I do with my husband because he’s my husband.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
