December is here which means we are into quarter-finals territory on Strictly Come Dancing.

After last week’s tough competition and Lindy Hop drama , it’s time for another theme, and this week is musicals.

From seductive Argentine Tango’s to strong Paso Dobles we took a look through the week 11 history books to find the best.

Here are our top five….

Series 4 (2006): Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy – Argentine Tango

Often hailed as the Argentine Tango to end all Argentine Tango’s, Ramps' hot and sexy routine took week 11 by storm.

The dance, performed to Goldeneye by Shirley Bassey – which left judge Arlene Phillips all flustered – scored 39, the highest marked Argentine Tango that week. One week later they lifted the coveted glitterball trophy.

Series 6 (2008): Austin Healey and Erin Boag – Paso Doble

So iconic was Healey’s Paso that if you listen carefully, you can still hear his shouts at the beginning.

Dressed in traditional Paso attire and dancing to Espana Cani, the pair scored 38 for their routine.

Series 7 (2009): Chris Hollins and Ola Jordan - Charleston

Back in 2009, Strictly fans were just getting to grips with the 1920s dance being a genre in the ballroom. BBC bod Hollins and partner Jordan managed to encapsulate the cheekiness of the dance with their routine to Fat Sam’s Grand Slam from Bugsy Malone.

Arguably the 40 that never was, the routine earned its own place in the history books for it's fun. And one move, the swimming, has been recreated time and time again.

The pair, who scored 34, went on to re-perform the dance in the final, earning them a perfect score – and the trophy.

Series 10 (2012): Kimberley Walsh and Pasha Kovalev – Charleston

The 2012 series gave us some very special dances, including two perfect 40s. One of them was Walsh’s cheeky Charleston to Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.

The fun song lent itself to the cheeky 1920s dance and allowed both of them to show off their infectious personalities.

Series 14 (2016): Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse – Tango

Series 14 was Musicals Week, too, and One Night Only from Dreamgirls provided the backing track to Mac and Mabuse’s Tango – even if it wasn’t the most convincing song choice.

The routine allowed Mac, dressed in a sparkly suit, to show off his solo skills during the middle as well as working with extra dancers to pull off a great routine.

They scored 38, with Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli spoiling the fun, but it was enough for the top spot.

Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One, tonight at 7:05pm
