It may only be week three but Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kelvin Fletcher has already earned the first 10s of the series.

The ex-Emmerdale star and his partner Oti Mabuse danced a Charleston, to Trip A Little Light Fantastic from Mary Poppins Returns.

The duo won a standing ovation from the judges, with Shirley Ballas telling them: "You made a difficult routine look absolutely superb."

When it came to the scoring, they received top marks from both Shirley and Bruno Tonioli - putting them at the top of the leader board.

Kelvin was visibly emotional as the scores were given and had already fought back tears while discussing how much his young daughter loves the latest Mary Poppins movie.

Earlier in the evening, Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice earned the first 9s of the 2019 series.

The RuPaul's Drag Race judge faced the tough task of opening the show during the Movies Week special, performing a quickstep to Cabaret, from the film of the same name.

The TV personality was transformed into Liza Minelli's iconic character, Sally Bowles, for the routine while Giovanni played the MC.

Giving her critique, head judge Shirley Ballas told Michelle: "You smashed it on every level. Your character was off the chart. It was absolutely brilliant."

Movies week saw the celebrities and their partners dance to tracks from classic hits and more recent releases.

Catherine Tyldesley wowed the panel with her rumba to the Oscar-winning Shallow from A Star is Born while Will Bayley performed a Poke Doble, otherwise known as a Paso Doble to the Pokemon theme tune.
