Strictly fans were hit with not one but four big reveals on Monday when contestants were unveiled, including singer Faye Tozer.

The former Steps member is no stranger to showing off her dance moves, although the salsa is a world away from 5, 6, 7, 8...

Faye has been in and out of the limelight since Steps split back in 2001 and a lot has changed for the 42-year-old since then.

Here's everything you need to know about the imminent Strictly contestant:

When did Faye join Steps?

Most 90s kids will remember Steps, even if they don't admit to having owned a t-shirt with all the band members' faces on it.

Formed in 1997, Steps was the pop group to end all pop groups, releasing over 17 singles, four studio albums and selling 20 million records in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US in just five years.

Other band members included Claire Richards, Ian "H" Watkins, Lisa Scott-Lee and Lee Latchford-Evans.

The group reunited in 2017, releasing another album and embarking on a UK tour.

What did Faye do after Steps split?

After Steps split in 2001, Faye continued to pursue her musical career, recording duet Someone Like You with classical singer Russell Watson, which charted at number 10 in 2002.

Shortly afterwards, she made her theatrical debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tell Me On A Sunday.

She went on to star in Dial M for Murder and My Girl, as well as playing Eva Cassidy in production about her life in 2008.

Who is Faye married to?

In 2002, Faye married Danish boyfriend Jesper Irn. The pair divorced after five years.

In 2009, she gave birth to her first child, Benjamin Barrington Tozer-Smith.

Faye went on to marry businessman Michael Smith in December 2009 and the ceremony was televised on an episode of Celebrity Four Weddings.

What has she said about Strictly?

Faye breathed a sigh of relief on the BBC One Show broadcast on Monday as she could finally let the cat out of the bag.

"I have lied to so many people," she told presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones.

She added: "I am all about the costumes. It's the crystals, the huge hair, the themed nights..."
