After Tia Latham’s became the first star to be eliminated, the Survival of the Fittest Lodge needs a new addition.

Metisse Campbell has been revealed as the latest contestant heading for the South African Savannah to join the group, following Monday night's eviction.

The model from Birmingham revealed she was going on the ITV2 reality show “to make new friends”.

“The appeal of the show for me is the experience, I’m really looking forward to making new friends with the girls and then with the boys, whether it’s friendships or relationships," she said.

“I feel like this will be a good place to go and meet people. Hopefully I’ll find love, I do really want a boyfriend."

Campbell isn’t a stranger to the limelight, having appeared in music videos with rappers Lethal Bizzle and Donaeo.

The 21-year-old will enter the The Lodge in Tuesday’s show.

She replaces Latham who was sent home by the boys team after ending up in the bottom three.

Speaking during her exit interview, Latham commented: “I wouldn’t have done anything differently. I always look to the positive.

“It was a very beautiful experience and I feel like I’ve left my mark and I’ve still got lots to do – this isn’t the last time you’ll see me.”

Survival of the Fittest continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
