After seven years on the air, ITV’s hit quiz show The Chase is celebrating a huge milestone: its 1000th episode.

The show will air a special instalment on September 29 – and it’s bound to be the most intense episode ever.

It will be an hour long, and will feature all five ‘Chasers’ – the general knowledge experts who contestants have to beat in order to win some cash.

In each Cash Builder and Final Chase round, the contestants will face a different Chaser – the Barrister, the Beast, the Governess, the Sinnerman, or the Vixen.

“We’ve made it to the 1000th episode of The Chase as the show is so entertaining and informative,” says host Bradley Walsh.

“I’m so lucky I get to be a part of such a great team and have a laugh at work, I even learn some things too. People love it because they can see how much we are enjoying ourselves.
