Linford Christie has become the fourth star to leave The Jump after suffering an injury.

The Olympic gold medallist, who has been forced to pull out due to a hamstring injury, has vowed to return after undergoing treatment.

He told The Sun: “I pulled my hamstring. I didn’t even know I had hamstrings at my age.

“All of the sudden I did a ski jump. I landed funny and I can’t even touch my toes. I felt a pop.

“I’ve had a scan and get some treatment tomorrow. I should be back for next week. I am coming back.”

The latest star injury come after gymnast Beth Tweddle broke her back this week after crashing into a barrier.

Just one week into the Channel 4 show, Rebecca Adlington was forced to quit after dislocating her shoulder while actress Tina Hobley has broken her arm in two places.

While he’s still in the show, former EastEnders actor Sid Owen also suffered an injury on Sunday night’s show.

Viewers have dubbed the show the ‘most dangerous on TV’ and many have called for it to be axed.
