Zoe Ball was left speechless after former Strictly Come Dancing professional Robin Windsor announced his retirement on air.
Windsor, who was partnered with Lisa Riley and Patsy Kensit during his time on the show, joined Ball on spin-off show It Takes Two in Choreography Corner on Tuesday.
But before taking a look at last week’s Blackpool dances, Ball asked him where he had been, having not yet appeared on this series.
Windsor left the host stunned as he announced his retirement, confirming that he would not be performing again after Sunday night’s West End show.
He said: “I’ve been on tour and I’m about to finish my farewell tour. Going to retire.
“This Sunday on the West End, it will be a good night.”
Ball then joked that she wanted his sparkly jacket after he was done with it, before moving on to talk Blackpool routines.
Windsor, who joined the show in 2010, has been on his farewell tour for several months all over the country before moving to St Lucia next year.
Windsor appeared on the successful BBC show for several years but was forced to miss out on the series in 2014 after having surgery on his back. He was replaced by Trent Whiddon.
Windsor returned to the show that year for the Christmas special that year and again a year later with Alison Hammond. He continued to appear periodically on the BBC Two spin-off.
