From 5 January Cirque du Soleil returns to the Royal Albert Hall with its breathtaking acrobatics and magical staging to present a thrilling new spectacle: TOTEM.

Drawing on many of mankind's founding myths, the show colourfully brings to life the evolutionary progress of species through a spellbinding fusion of traditional circus performance, state-of-the-art technology and science.

TOTEM is written and directed by Robert Lepage, one of the world's foremost stage directors. Known for his innovative multimedia-rich theatrical work and reinvention of drama and opera, in 2004 he created his first show for Cirque du Soleil: the colossal gravity-defying KÀ currently playing in Las Vegas.
