A celebration of Amy Winehouse’s legacy is coming to Camden Market.

A Day For Amy will take place in the Amphitheatre next to late singer's statue, on Saturday September 15, a day after she would have turned 35.

There will be a number of free music performances, run by musical organisations from both Camden and across London, including the Roundhouse, Amy’s Yard, the Joe Strummer Foundation and the Institute of Contemporary Music.

Talks on the importance of mental health awareness, as well as “ways to build resilience to help prevent drug and alcohol misuse” are also due to take place.

Beauty treatments that promise “Amy-esque” hair and make-up are also on the agenda, as is a visit to a photographic homage to Winehouse.

The event will raise funds for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity set up by the singer’s family to help prevent drug and alcohol misuse among disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
