Comeback: 2Face set to perform in London

The renowned Nigerian musician, 2Face Idibia, is set to make a comeback in the UK.

2Face Idibia, real name Innocent Ujah Idibia, 36, who enjoyed success with the musical Fela in March this year, will return to perform in Buckwyld and Breathless at London's IndigO2 on Sunday, November 6.

Buckwyld and Breathless stars a reputable group of African musicians such as Timi Dakolo, winner of West African Idols, and Cynthia Mare, support act for Sean Paul during his UK tour and the Hip Hop duo Show Dem Camp.

2Face, often referred to as 'the African Jigga', offers a distinctive blend of reggae, R&B and traditional African music which has earned him awards such as the MOBO, World Music Awards, KORA and MTV Mama.

In 2005, he became the first African musician to win the MTV Europe African Act award in Lisbon and, in 2007, his critically-acclaimed single 'African queen' received over 2 million hits on YouTube and was used as theme music for the hit Hollywood movie 'Phat Girls'.

Having already released five albums, 2Face is the most celebrated artists in Africa and has worked with some of the world's biggest musicians including R. Kelly, Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland, Shakira, the late James Brown, Sway, and Beenie Man.
