BlacKkKlansman: Previews showing at London cinemas with a Spike Lee Q&A

Cinemas across London will be screening the much-anticipated BlacKkKlansman on Monday August 20 — a few days earlier than its UK general release on Friday August 24.

The American biographical crime film is written and co-directed by Spike Lee and there'll be a Q&A with the filmmaker himself after the previews, conducted live over satellite.

The showings will take place at 48 cinemas across London — but it’s worth noting that ticket prices vary depending on the venue.

The film tells the true tale of an African-American police detective who sets out to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s. It stars John David Washington, Adam Driver and Laura Harrier.

The movie has already attracted praise from critics, who've drawn comparisons to Lee's work on Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X.
