Disney lights up and gets in the Christmas spirit

5 April 2012

It's not just London that is starting to look festive. The Christmas spirit is in full swing at Disneyland Paris with the arrival of its tree and lights.

Over 1 million lights are used to illuminate the magical wonderland - 7,000 on Main St U.S.A lampposts alone. It takes almost 400,000 LEDS to make Sleeping Beauty Castle shine.

Decorating the Christmas tree in Town Square was no easy task. 590 baubles and 500 lights make it look this impressive.

Marching to the music and entertaining the crowds will be 12 toy soldiers, 18 elves and a nutcracker in Disney's Once Upon a Dream' Christmas Parade.

This year the celebrations tie in with Mickey's Magical Party which has been in full swing throughout 2009. What a fun end to the year.
