Doug Stanhope looks back in anger at Leicester Square Theatre

Rebecca Shaw5 April 2012

Doug Stanhope is renowned for his abrasive, provocative, raging and always unpredictable ferocious comedy and he will be letting it all out at the Leicester Square Theatre until September 11.

The comedian is always full of surprises, which is perhaps one of the reasons for his incessant popularity.

In 2006 he announced that he would be running for President in 2008 as a Libertarian stating: "I am reconsidering my presidential run while my exploratory team looks into the viability of such an endeavor".

His comedy pushes moral, sexual and political boundaries as he divulges his satirical opinions on society.

Stanhope is often seen on TV but insists "TV is just for the money; live performance is where it's at".

He has been billed as one of the top ten stand ups in the world so catch him while you can.

Tickets are priced between £22.50 -£25.00 and are available from the box office on 0844 847 24 75 or online at www.leicestersquaretheatre.com.
