First of nine new Royal Park coffee kiosks revealed at Ritz Corner

First of many: New kiosks and cafes will be popping up all over the Royal Parks
Luke Hayes

The first of nine new eye-catching coffee kiosks and cafes in the Royal Parks has opened at Ritz Corner in Green Park.

The new architect-designed outlets will replace the tired “wooden box” kiosks currently providing refreshment for millions of tourists and visitors.

Devon-based designer Tom Raffield made the curved “steam-bent” oak cladding for several of the kiosks, including the first one in Green Park.

Eight more will open through the winter, culminating with the launch of The Serpentine Cafe in spring.

The kiosks were designed for family cafe brand Colicci by Mizzi Studio. Director Jonathan Mizzi said: “The design challenge was to create a family of functional sculptures with a goal to continuously surprise and delight while further enhancing the visitor’s experience.”
