London Riviera: Southern Florida meets the south of France at Thames-side pop-up

Southern Florida, the French Riviera and the Eastern Mediterranean will converge on the banks of the Thames in June for a new summer pop-up.

London Riviera, created by The Food Firm (facebook.com/thefoodfirm), will appear on June 1 and stay there for five months, open between 8am and 10pm daily.

Food is provided by meze restaurant Ceru (cerurestaurants.com), which served its vibrant Levantine food from a temporary site in Fitzrovia earlier this year.

Ceru's executive chef Tom Kime has worked closely with celebrity chef John Quilter – who hosts London Live’s Food Junkies – to develop the summer menu, which includes dips, salads and meat dishes inspired by the street food of the Levant.

Craft beers, juices and organic coffee will be served alongside the food.

All this will be set in an environment created using aspects from both the east coast of America and the south of France, with palm trees, day-beds, giant pineapples and pink flamingos. All that's needed is for London's weather to play ball.
