Fans of TV hits The Killing and The Bridge will be able to meet the stars of the Scandinavian crime dramas at Nordicana, the third annual festival in London dedicated to Nordic noir.

The two-day event in Limehouse will see Danish actress Sofie Gråbøl, who plays the jumper-wearing detective Sarah Lund in The Killing, and Swedish star Sofia Helin, the leather-clad Saga Noren in The Bridge, discuss their work and take part in ticketed signings.

Other highlights will include the UK premiere of the first episode of Jordskott, the latest Nordic mystery thriller, before its launch on ITV Encore. Moa Gammell, who plays a police investigator, Eva Thornblad, will attend with series creator Henrik Bjorn.

Gråbøl, who last year appeared at the National Theatre in The James Plays, said she cannot wait to come back for the festival which will also include Scandinavian food, drink and design. She said the success of The Killing had been “a very, very, very big shock”, but added: “I think it’s lovely. I feel that people relate to Scandinavian culture now. We’ve always been inspired by the British tradition of story-telling.”
