Poets celebrate W H Auden centenary

W H Auden: A Centenary Reading

Tonight marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Wystan Hugh Auden, one of the most significant and prolific poets and writers of the twentieth century.

The British Library is celebrating the event with an evening of poetry readings reflecting the breadth and variety of Auden's work.

Grey Gowrie, Richard Howard, John Fuller and Poet Laureate Andrew Motion will be reading from selected works, including Auden's 1930's poetry and his later work written whilst living in America.
