Pxssy Palace, the collective which specialises in club nights that champion those who are black, indigenous and people of colour, and likewise who are women, queer, intersex, trans or non-binary, is set to host its first event exclusively for those over 30.

The night, dubbed Skin2Skin, will take over five floors of a Shoreditch townhouse on Paul Street from 8pm this Saturday, February 11. It will offer a pair of dance floors, a “chill space” where massages can be taken, a music room where a pianist will play throughout the night, and an erotica room.

The night is advertising “hand-fed food”, “erotic readings” and “striptease shows from some of the most seductive queers London has to offer.” Among those dancing will be Taali, Xena Rae and Yung Reenie.

Skin2Skin marks the first time Pxssy Palace has put an age limit on an evening, aside from being for over-18s. The collective’s co-founder, Nadine Noor Ahmad, told the Standard that they were hoping to “cater to all ages.”

Ahmad said: “The world validates people in their twenties and I think that when people who are over 30 still want to go out to the club, sometimes they can feel like they’re too old to be there, or the energy is different.

“For Pxssy Palace coming back after lockdown, people that were going to parties before that were 26, 28, 29. [Now they’re] coming back being two years older and all of a sudden partying with people that younger.

“We wanted to cater to the audience that has supported us for the last seven years — and cater to all ages. We did the 25+ party last year for Halloween and that went down really well and then we felt we needed to do a 30+ too.”

We’re covering up people’s phone cameras for the night so that we can really be present in the moment

Ahmad added that the evening would focus “on softness, sensuality. There’s going to be erotic readings, erotic performances, there’s gonna be food, you can get hand fed, there’s gonna be free massages. The food is free and there’s gonna be a live piano all night!”

As is becoming increasingly on trend, the night will ban phone cameras. Of the move, Ahmad said of the move: “With the rise of the popularity of Boiler Room and TikTok people are really looking for these viral moments and sometimes when the DJ or the artist is playing, there are so many phones in front of people’s faces, and you lose that connection.

“We’re covering up people’s phone cameras for the night so that we can really be present in the moment.”

Tickets for the evening will start at £33.66, rising to £50.49. For more information, visit dice.fm
