Secret Cinema: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy experience set for London in 2022
Secret Cinema is back, and things are going interplanetary.
The long-running immersive events company has unveiled plans for its latest production, teaming up with Disney to launch a new series based on the 2017 Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
Set to run from August to December this year at an undisclosed London location, the events will recreate various locations from the movie — whether that’s the icy refuge of Contraxia, the notorious Kyln prison, or the anarchic planet of Knowhere.
Attendees will be invited to choose their Ravager Clan and, while doing their best to dodge the Nova Corps, head off on a galactic adventure.
Max Alexander, CEO of Secret Cinema, said: “Guests will be transported to the far reaches of the galaxy and experience an evening like no other as they interact with characters in a storyline unique to them against a backdrop of sensational special effects.
“Whether they want to lead their Clan to resounding victory over their scavenger foes, or just to revel in the pleasures to be found on Contraxia, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Secret Cinema, which first launched in 2007, has previously hosted immersive screenings of films and TV shows including Back to the Future, Grease, The Shawshank Redemption, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Strangers Things and, most recently, Netflix’s Bridgerton.
Tickets for the Guardians of the Galaxy experience will go on general sale at 10am on March 14 at secretcinema.org, with early access available by signing up to the mailing list. O2 priority customers will be able to buy tickets from 10am on March 9. Prices start at £59 plus booking fee for the full experience.
