Strangers and The Operators host Camden launch party

Hard wax: Strangers will release their EP on vinyl only
5 April 2012

Strangers is the dark-pop brainchild of songwriter David Maddox-Jones, previously frontman for Parlophone-signees The Departure.

Saturated with a love of dark synths, pounding 80's pop rhythms and arena-enthralling choruses, Maddox-Jones has teamed up with former Depeche Mode and The Prodigy producer Glen Nicholls.

Nicholls, who has also worked with Snow patrol and Armand Van Helden co-produced the Strangers first album, EP1, virally and the free-to-download record received a positive reaction across the board.

On July 4 2011, Strangers released their debut single on Killing Moon Records, a double A-side for "It Was A Sin" and "If I Found Love", both of which have already been championed by the likes of XFM's John Kennedy, Amazing Radio's Charlie Ashcroft and BBC 6Music's Tom Robinson.

To celebrate, the band will be hosting a single launch party at the Wheelbarrow in Camden on July 13 2011.

Support comes from indie electro band The Operators, fresh off their Isle Of Wight Festival performance.

The vinyl-only single itself will be on sale at the show and the single is also available for pre-order via Rough Trade, Puregroove, and the Killing Moon Records online store.
