There's a giant 6ft sandwich on display in Soho

For anyone feeling peckish, really peckish that is, there’s an enormous 6ft sandwich on display in Soho.

The whopper of a sarnie consists of 1kg of chicken, 40 slices of tomato, 30 slices of provolone cheese, 1.2 litres of Hellmann’s mayonnaise, 150ml of honey and mustard sauce, 250ml of BBQ sauce and 250ml of honey as well as 3 whole iceberg lettuces.

The sandwich is part of the Hellman’s Deli exchange on Soho's Bateman Street; an event designed to bring food entrepreneurs together across the country.

However, as with any perishable product, it’s shelf life is short so it will only be on display until Saturday 21 July at 5pm.

While the huge sandwich is not for sale, hungry guests can purchase a smaller version of it at the deli pop-up and all proceeds from the event will go towards Action Against Hunger.
