Visitors to Somerset House this bank holiday weekend will be serenaded by members of an orchestra which has played for Mariah Carey and performed with Adele and Kanye West.

The Urban Soul Orchestra was set up by musician Stephen Hussey more than two decades ago after he worked with Soul II Soul on their hit Club Classics Vol. One album. It provides classically trained musicians for events and recording sessions.

Four of its members, Emma Fry, Sophie English and twins Stephanie and Natalie Cavey, are performing with a DJ at Somerset House Terrace presented by Peroni Ambra in central London between 6pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday.

The bar, overlooking the river, will be transformed into a Mediterranean orange grove for the concerts, part of a number of events called Discover Aperitivo with Peroni Ambra which have been organised by the Italian drinks firm.
