Baby it's cold outside: where to get cosy in London this winter

So what if it's freezing/hailing/sleeting/snowing (delete as appropriate) outside? Don't stay at home – London has plenty of places to warm your cockles that are worth braving the walk to the tube for
Weatherproof: stay cool and warm on a heated roof terrace (blankets included)

The winter months may be passing but the miserable weather shows no sign of abating. While the rest of the country gets picture-perfect white snow, Londoners contend with grey slush, rain, sleet and near-frozen extremities – and that’s just on the walk to the station.

Where to get cosy in London this winter

1/2

When it's cold outside the temptation may be to say goodbye to your social life, hole yourself up in a bedroom blanket den, binge-watch all that Netflix has to offer and not emerge until the climes are warmer, but it is possible to go out and stay cosy.

London has plenty to offer in these trying times: no, there aren’t any snowballs to throw or ski lodges to frequent, but there are plenty of heated roof terraces, winter barbecues and cinemas with beds (yes, that’s a thing) to keep you warm.

Rather than waving goodbye to your social life and hibernating until May, we recommend you head out in search of the best hot chocolate or mulled cider, snuggle up in a heated wigwam, stuff your face with melted cheese, or take a winter staycation at one of London’s new hip hotels. You won't want winter to end.
