Augustus Harris - bar review

Cichetti and impressive cocktails at this Venetian-style bar
Kate Lough6 March 2014

The buzz: a Venetian-style bacaro in the heart of Covent Garden serving cichetti alongside wine and cocktails.

The deal: an intimate candlelit space helpfully positioned in the middle of theatreland with walnut-brown wooden panelling and lots of flattering bronze mirrors. The food won’t blow you away but the cocktails were impressive and a snip at £8 for central London.

Good for: pre-curtains-up sharpeners and nibbles.

Order: we couldn’t get enough of the Rosmarino: a delectable mix of gin, rosemary sugar water and lemon.

By the way: make sure you check what’s on the specials board: we tried a seriously delicious lavender concoction.
