Rum Kitchen - bar review

It's rum, rum and more rum with old favourites like jerk chicken to sober you up at this Caribbean beach shack

The buzz: A Caribbean-inspired beach shack and rum cellar in Notting Hill selling more than 100 different rums.

The deal: The boys behind Love Brunch and PING have struck again. Rum Kitchen, as laid-back as the West Indies with reggae on the stereo, is already full of young, smart locals — even on a Monday night. Drinks are good, rather than excellent, and on the sweet side — but cocktails are reasonable at around £8.

Good for: Late weekend nights with a group of friends — it’s open until 2am.

Order: The Rumbustion — an iced rum and coconut cooler with vanilla. The bartenders also do a very good mojito.

By the way: It’s a members bar after 10.30pm so get in before and you can stay.

Find it: 6-8 All Saints Road, W11 (therumkitchen.com)
