Greece’s best bar the Clumsies is coming to London for new pop-up

Lizzie Thomson23 August 2018

The sixth best bar in the world will host a four-day residency at St Martins Lane Hotel next month.

The multi-award winning Athens bar the Clumsies will pop up at Blind Spot in Covent Garden from Tuesday September 25 to Friday September 28.

The bar, which featured on the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2017 list, was the highest ranking place not in London or New York.

Blind Spot is found inside the St Martins Lane hotel. Guests will be able to work their way through their most famous drinks, including the Popeye and Olive – with gin, mint, spinach and green apple – as well as the Clumsy Negroski, made up of vodka, vermouth, Campari, beeswax and pepper.

They will also be offering a Clumsy Martini, a unique take on the classic drink featuring pickled rhubarb, sherry and vermouth.

The Clumsies is the brainchild of leading bartenders Vassilis Kyritsis and Nikos Bakoulis and has gained international following for its creative cocktails. The bar was a success last year when they popped up at Greek restaurant Meraki.
