Friday 30th November

Licked Beatz @ Cable

Dubstep producer Phaeleh headlines this night in the arches of a shadowy south London tunnel with Kiss FM's grime DJ Logan Sama, and drum 'n' bass producer DJ Die. Rattus Rattus of Urban Nerds will also be on hand to add the mayhem with his unique blend of dubstep, grime, bassline and electro. No genre is safe from being cut up and chucked in the mix!

Cable, 33a Bermondsey Street Tunnel, SE1 3JW. 10pm – 6am. £8. (cable-london.com)

Hot Wuk @ East Village

Dubbed the 'UK's maddest bashment party', The Heatwave will be joined by garage legend Sticky (remember 'Booo!' Feat. Ms Dynamite, circa 2001?) for a scorching dancehall rave-up. With everybody dressing up to get down, this is probably not one for the posers who "don't do dancing".

89 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HX. 9pm – 3.30am. £10 adv, £15 on door. (eastvillageclub.co.uk)

Throwback Club: Tru Vintage @ Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes

London is definitely not short of retro-themed nights, but this one is staying true to the 50s vibes as it's staged in the bowels of Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes. Music from the 1920s to 1950s. Vintage outfits encouraged.

Bloomsbury Lanes, Bedford Way/Lower Level of Tavistock Hotel, WC1H 9EB. 9pm – 3am. £3. (bloomsburylive.com)

Saturday 1st December

A Night With... Jamie Jones @ Loft Studios

Jamie Jones is one of techno’s fastest rising stars and he will be taking over the industrial Loft Studios for a whopping eight-hour night shift of minimal techno beats. Having cut his teeth in the London and Ibiza party scenes, he is most known for his club-banger remix of 'Hungry for the Power' by Azari & III, which has garnered almost 5 million hits on YouTube.

Loft Studios, 77-81, Scrubs Lane, Kensal Green, NW10 6QU. 10pm – 6am. £10-£20 adv. (loftstudios.co.uk)

Norman Jay @ The Book Club

Celebrate Christmas with acclaimed BBC radio DJ Norman Jay. Supported by Alex Session, he will be putting house, funk and soul at the forefront of the agenda. No festive bash is complete without mince pies, crackers and egg nog, so expect some nibbles to be passed about.

The Book Club, 100 Leonard Street, EC2A 4RH. 8pm – 2am. £5 after 9pm. (wearetbc.com)

Supa Dupa Fly @ Plan B

The 90s and noughties weren’t that long ago, but music from that era usually has a place in most clubbers' hearts. Gangsta rap, UK garage, head-nodding hip-hop and booty-shaking R'n'B are to be spun by BBC 1Xtra’s Big Ted, Emily Rawson, Jimmy Napes, and Rory JumPup.

Plan B, 418 Brixton Road, SW9 7AY. 8pm – 4am. £5 guestlist before 11pm and £7 after, £8 on door. (planb-london.com)

Sunday 2nd December

Akala @ Cargo

Conscious rapper and poet Kingslee 'Akala' James Daley (brother of Ms Dynamite) is known for his spit-fire lyrics about disenfranchised youth, social struggles, and corruption among the 'powers that be'. For some pre-show research, check out his hard-hitting freestyle 'Fire in the Booth', which has gained over 1 million hits on YouTube.

Cargo, 83 Rivington Street, EC2A 3AY. 7pm - 11pm. £11 adv. (cargo-london.com)

Finger in the Pie Christmas Cabaret @ Madame Jojo's

Madame Jojo's described this delectable cabaret night as a 'venerable variety of vaudevillian virtuosos including a yuletide bombshell of burlesque beauties'. A bit of a mouthful. Oo-er missus!

Madame Jojo's, 8-10 Brewer St, W1F OSE. 6.30pm - 12pm (followed by a DJ till 2am). £12 on door, £10 adv. (madamejojos.com)
