1.Trouble Vision Warm up

Why not kickstart your Carnival weekend with the Trouble Vision boys? Putting a tropical spin on things, their Corsica Studios home will play host to the one and only Gilles Peterson, UK-rooted house star T.Williams, and hero of the underground Detroit music scene, Andres aka Dez Andrez.

Corsica Studios, 5 Farrell Court, SE17 1LB. Tickets from £8. Doors 10pm-6am, Friday 24th August

2. Carnival chaos at Supperclub

Not content with throwing you guys just one party, Supperclub are hosting no less than four jerk-hot parties to satisfy all your Carnival urges. Starting with the notorious What Happens Next party on the Friday and finishing up with a bang with a Staunch Carnival Special on Monday, this is your one-stop Carnival shop. Click here for the full line-ups.

Supperclub, 12 Acklam Road, Notting Hill, London, W10 5QZ, Friday 24th - Monday 27th August

3. Urban Nerds Carnival Special

A big fixture on the Carnival calendar, the Nerds party will feature their usual bass-fuelled warm-up at Scala. With Drum'n'Bass innovator Breakage, Numbers label head Jackmaster, Digital Mystikz, and copious amounts of reggae and dancehall, this will be a sell-out.

275-277 Pentonville Rd, N1 9NL, scala-london.co.uk, Saturday 25th August

4. Paradise Carnival After-Party with Ninja Tune

Right in the thick of the action, West London's favourite venue, Paradise brings you its afterparty. With Ninja Tune in the driving seat with post-carnival duties, this is not a party to miss. Coldcut will deliver a special DJ set, Adrian Sherwood will also take to the decks, and fun-time house duo 2 Bears will host upstairs.

Paradise By Way Of Kensal Green, 19 Kilburn Lane, W10 4AE, 7pm-3am. Tickets £15. Sunday 26th August

5. Red Bull Music Academy x Major Lazer

Now in its fifth year, the Major Lazer-curated party under the Westway is always the hottest ticket of the Carnival weekend. Genre-defying Diplo and his Major Lazer soundsytem will be topping the line-up with Sean Paul, Dre Skull helping him out alongside Red Bull grads Hudson Mowhawke and Lunice, not to mention some very special guests (previous ones have been M.I.A and Santigold). Best part? It's free entry, free booze and free food.

Under the Westway, corner of Portobello and Acklam Rd. Register for tickets here. Doors 12-7 pm, Monday 27th August
