Simon Rogan on why he never gets tired of the steak at Goodmans

Simon Rogan, owner of Roganic, a two-year London restaurant pop up

Where would you pay money to eat and how often? Goodmans (Branches in Mayfair, the City and Canary Wharf, goodmanrestaurants.com) is really one of my favourite places to eat out. I try and go at least once a month if possible.

Why? I never ever get tired of it and it's just somewhere I'm always excited to go back to. I like that they are always changing their breeds and there is always something different to try. There is nothing more satisfying on your day off than a really good steak.

Who would you take? Anyone who wants to come with me! I've been there with chefs, friends and Penny my partner quite a few times.

What do you eat there? Quite simply steaks. I always get a good selection of sides, I like the mac & cheese with truffle sauce, mushrooms with garlic butter and chips of course. In fact there are so many options for sides that I tend to get a bit carried away!
