Taste assessment: Pepe's pizzas look like they've been sitting there for far too long but order a piadina and they'll make it in front of you. This is a flatbread disc cooked the Italian way - heated on a hot plate and filled with fresh ingredients. Here the bread was lightly cooked but not so little that it stayed limp, and there was still a delicate crunch on the outer edges. Its innards were fresh, squelchy and salty, with sweet tomato juice running out into the container. The portion is big enough to share, making it worth £5.50.
