Shop Cuvée announces wine-themed Easter egg hunt at Clissold Park

Highbury favourite Shop Cuvée is celebrating Easter by hosting a wine-themed egg hunt in Clissold Park.

The hunt, which will happen on Easter Sunday itself, will be free and is set to kick off at noon, wrapping up around 6pm. Founders Brodie Meah, Max and Noel Venning and the rest of the Shop Cuvée team will hide the “eggs” – actually QR codes revealing the prizes – around the park and rewards will include free bottles of wine – Cuvée’s recently launched “House White” – as well as tote bags, in-store discounts, the shop’s merchandise, and traditional chocolate too. The main prize will be three-month natural wine subscription.

For eagle-eyed wine-hunters, the shop’s team will be posting clues on the Shop Cuvée Instagram throughout the morning and while all prizes will be revealed on the day – provided the eggs are found – the discounts can be used at a later date in store.

Shop Cuvée is a lockdown sucess story, having first opened as a brick-and-mortar store last September as a spin-off from north London restaurant Top Cuvée. The Vennings and Meah had originally launched the concept as an online-only retail platform in late March as a way to offset the restaurant’s losses while closed, but it grew into a fully fledged shop as sales of natural wines went through the roof – including, most notably, bottles of Chin Chin Vinho Verde, which became something like the unofficial wine of lockdown one.
