If you’re the type of person that struggles to make a decision about what to eat in the morning, this new breakfast delicacy may just be the miracle you’ve been waiting for.

Troy Neal and Leslie Polizzotto of the Doughnut Project in New York City have created the Everything Doughnut - a bagel inspired doughnut topped with cream cheese.

The delicious breakfast food is made from traditional yeast doughnut, topped with a cream cheese glaze and sprinkled with black sesame seeds, garlic, pepitas, poppy seeds and salt.

The doughnut is then deep fried to mouth-watering perfection.

Talking to Gothamist, Neal says: “I knew we kind of hit a chord a little bit because not everybody's on board, or they're a little skeptical about what it's going to be like.

“Our idea is to straddle that fence between the salty and the sweet and this [idea] was one that definitely does that.”

Sadly, Londoners, the Everything Doughnut is not yet available here in the UK, so you'll have to travel across the pond if you want to try it for yourself.

But with no plans to bring the delicious deep fried delicacy across the pond anytime soon, we’d say you’ve got a pretty good excuse to book a spontaneous flight to New York.
