A dachshund cafe is coming to London

Ailis Brennan17 July 2018

Daxie devotees, your day is on the horizon.

A dachshund cafe will open to Londoners for one day only this summer, inviting all those who go loco for the little-legged breed to come revel in their sausage dog obsession.

On August 19, The Happenstance in Paternoster Square will be inviting dachshunds, their owners and their fans to join for a day of food, drink and dog-centric celebrations.

Every dachshund attending will get a free pupuccino and a bag of pupcorn, and will also be able to tuck into treats including pupcakes, dog-nuts and paw-secco, while accompanying humans can also enjoy dishes, light bites and cocktails on offer.

The cafe comes from the team behind the perennially popular Pug Cafe, which invites pug fans to regularly congregate and mingle with their favourite pooches.

To be in with a chance to join the four-legged fun, you’ll need to book yourself and any accompanying humans and pups a time slot on the day, with booking opening online at 10am on July 28.

If this doesn't get your tail wagging this summer, we don't know what will.
