Bunga Bunga Covent Garden: put the fun in forno and the pizzazz in pizza

Left off Silvio Berlusconi's guest list again? There is consolation – and pizza – in Battersea
Che bello! Party Italian-style at Bunga Bunga

When the drinks list at an Italian restaurant is 24 pages long and features cocktails named “Supermario Monti” and “Berlusconi Bellini”, you know you’re in for a fairly wild ride.

Named after former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's infamous Bunga Bunga parties – and known to have been frequented by the likes of Cara Delevigne and Prince Harry – this restaurant more than puts the fun in forno and the pizzazz in pizza.

Choose from the “Italian Stallion” to “Julius Cheeser” – pizzas, not horses you would never bet on – to sample either prosciutto with rocket and parmigiano or an indulgence of taleggio, gorgonzola, mozzarella and goat’s cheese on top of a crispy base, just like mamma used to make.

As you can expect, the Bunga Bunga experience is just as much about the frivolity as it is the food – there are after all, dance steps printed on the menu. Sharing pizzas are served for parties over 8, to be enjoyed with karaoke, live music, and many, many cocktails.
