Corbin and King restaurant tour goes down a treat with foodies
A “breakfast to dinner” gastronomic safari taking in four of London’s most glamorous dining venues is proving one of the big hits of London Food Month. Gourmands are given the chance to start with breakfast in The Wolseley on Piccadilly, move on to lunch at the buzzing Brasserie Zedel in Soho, take in an afternoon cocktail in the art deco American Bar at the Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair before ending with dinner at Viennese-inspired Fischer’s in Marylebone.
The tour, which costs £100 per head and is available on weekdays throughout this month, is the brainchild of two of London’s most respected restaurateurs, Chris Corbin and Jeremy King. Mr King said: “We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the number of people booking as it’s quite a commitment. It’s not just a gastronomic tour, it’s also a cultural tour. The Wolseley and Zedel have a very good early 20th-century feeling about them, then there’s the different vibe of the Twenties at The Beaumount, then the influences at Fischer’s are more 10 to 15 years later.”
The “Our London” With Corbin & King tour includes breakfast at The Wolseley from the à la carte menu up to a value of £30, a three-course set lunch menu with a glass of wine and coffee at Brasserie Zedel, a cocktail at The Beaumont, and dinner from a set menu and a carafe of wine at Fischer’s.
