Fay Maschler's week in food: From tuna tacos at Bob's Lobster to chocolate tart at Skye Gyngell's Marle

Provenance is principal: A dessert of chocolate tart and cream at Skye Gyngell's Marle

On returning from Greece, I’m invited by Emma and Damon Heath to their house for roast chicken, roast potatoes, sprightly greens and lashings of gravy. Deliciously kind.

Tuna Tacos and Lobster & Crayfish Roll at Bob’s Lobster, where Rob Dann parks his VW camper food truck in a permanent site at London Bridge, celebrating the raunchier take Americans have on seafood.

At Marle Restaurant, overseen by Skye Gyngell at the exceptional Heckfield Place hotel, a dessert of chocolate tart and cream, that immortally celebrates provenance.

Next morning on the terrace, green juice — apple, spinach, celery, cucumber, ginger, lime, mint — then fig leaf yoghurt with honeycomb and granola; Heckfield Place redraws English breakfast.

Original, delectable, dancing fried carrot cake with belachan chilli at the Elizabeth Haigh (@the_modernchef) residency of Kaizen House at Mortimer House. Hurry, just a couple of days left.
