First look video: Rail House Café
Perhaps the arrival of Rail House Café is one of the most awaited new restaurant and bar opening near Victoria Station.
Rail House Café is the latest venture from the Village London family of modern all-day cafés, with a diversity of spaces and handsome bars, each one independent and cherished by the London communities they live in – there’s one in Fitzrovia and another in Bermondsey.
The menu features playful and innovative twists on contemporary favourites, such as: Green Tea Waffles and the Burgerdict (an eggs Benedict-burger hybrid).
But the main focus is on healthy food for every day, incorporating raw dishes such as Sea Bass Ceviche and the beautiful Instagram-friendly Chargrilled Octopus.
Etienne Bruwer, Village’s Group Executive Chef, said: “We’ve got quite a wide range of cuisines – modern European, a little bit of Asian influence. Very comfort food.
“You can come three times a day, every day, and have something beautiful to eat.”
Spearheading the transformation of Victoria’s dining scene, Rail House Café is part of the giant 897,000 sq. ft. Nova development, which includes 17 new restaurants and three pop-ups.
“The development around Victoria is really exciting. I think when the full offering is open and ready to go, we will be pulling in large numbers of visitors to an area that’s previously wasn’t quite known for its food,” said Paul Franklin, Rail House Café’s General Manager.
