Peri Christmas Everybody: Nando’s releases festive menu for first time

In a move that will equally delight fans of spicy chicken and festive food specials, Nando’s has revealed that it will be serving some cheeky Crimbo dishes in its restaurants for the first time this year.

The PERi-Berry burger — strange capitalisation all Nando’s own — will combine two of the chicken chain’s most popular dishes: a flame-grilled boneless chicken thigh and a chicken breast fillet.

It will come on a bed of baby spinach topped with a berry chutney made from cranberries, raspberries and blueberries along with chillies — all encased in a Portuguese roll.

There will also be PERi-Orange Wings added to the menu. Served for sharing, these will come in a tangy, sweet orange glaze available in a variety of heat levels.

The two items will appear on Nando’s menus nationwide next Tuesday (November 16), and will be served until January 3 when they will disappear until at least next year.
