Table Talk: Meson Don Felipe

Table Talk

Who goes there? South Bank culture vultures and Young and Old Vic thesps. Devoted Spaniards (always a good sign) lend local colour, while Joseph Fiennes, Jude Law, Timothy Dalton, Helen Mirren, Patrick Stewart and Peter Hall add their stellar seal of approval.

Why? Often described as one of the most relaxed and friendly restaurants in London, it is also perfectly situated for a pre-theatre meal. Live flamenco guitar adds to the prevailing atmosphere of cosy conviviality.

What do they wear? Nothing too chi-chi, but expect a medley of styles to match the clientele.

Best table Sit at front tables 4 or 5 to peer at the little bowls of tapas that sail past.

Who to know? The managerial triumvirate of Santiago, Monica and Nuria.
