When breakfast is too early and lunch too far away, it's time to head outdoors and grab brunch. Here are the best places in the capital to do just that.

CARAVAN

Bored of bacon and eggs? Try pumpkin waffles with baked ricotta, or kimchi pancakes with pork belly at this King’s Cross café with tables overlooking the fountains in Granary Square. Coffee beans are roasted on the premises, making the espressos first class.

Brunch served 10am-4pm. Mains, £9.

LIMA FLORAL

Eat refreshingly unfamiliar dishes at this West End Peruvian restaurant with street-side seating.

Mains on the three-course brunch menu (£30) are followed by a shot of ‘Tiger’s milk’, a cure for hangovers.

HALLY'S

Dip into the Californian lifestyle with the healthy farm-to-table menu at this beach-house café in Parson’s Green. If the weather sours, you can nip inside where pastel-coloured chairs and clapboard signs create a seaside atmosphere.
