A spin-off of famous theatreland restaurant The Ivy will launch in Soho next year, and it will put cocktails firmly at the front of its offering.

Caprice Holdings, which runs The Ivy as well as restaurants including J Sheekey and Scott’s, will open The Ivy Soho Brasserie on Broadwick Street on February 7.

It will serve from early until late, taking in breakfast, weekend brunches, lunches and dinners as well as all-day snacks. British cooking will dominate, though there will also be influences from across Europe in dishes such as chicken Milanese with fried eggs and black truffle.

Cocktails will also be a big part of the offering, with original drinks set to include the Social Smoker, featuring fat-washed bourbon, sweet vermouth, bitters and hickory smoke, and Dick’s Drink, a homage to late Soho bartender Dick Bradsell and his creation the espresso martini.

The restaurant will be the ninth to bear The Ivy name following the original as well as more casual grills, cafés and brasseries across Covent Garden, Chelsea, Kensington, Marylebone, Wimbledon and St John’s Wood, plus out of London in Bristol and Cobham.
