Turkey, sprouts and sea urchin: chefs serve up ultimate festive feast
Chefs Tom Kerridge, Mark Hix, Sophie Michell and Pascal Aussignac have sat down together for an early Christmas dinner made up of versions of what they will each be eating on the day itself.
The festive feast featured the traditional components such as goose, turkey, baked ham, mince pies and Brussels sprouts as well as some less conventional dishes such as sea urchin, game pie, and a macaron tower.
Kerridge said he shuts both his Marlow pubs on Christmas Day so he can focus on his own celebrations.
“The festive period is a super special time for me, both pubs are shut and I can really enjoy cooking for myself and my family and friends,” he said.

Hix, who has a number of eponymous restaurants across the capital, said: “For me, Christmas is all about tradition. I love game birds and a full feast to enjoy.” Michell, executive chef at Belgraves Hotel and Gorgeous Kitchen Heathrow, said although she likes traditional festive food she also enjoys “seafood, champagne and macarons” at Christmas. Meanwhile, Aussignac goes for “rich and extravagant” foods such as truffles and sea urchin.
The feast was held in honour of Taste of London: The Festive Edition. The chefs all appear at the event at Tobacco Dock from November 19-22.
