Usain Bolt may have the title of the fastest man in history but next month he’ll be adding another string to his bow as he opens his first UK restaurant near Liverpool Street station.

Last month, the news broke that the treble Olympic hero had plans for 15 sites across the UK and it's now been confirmed he will launch his first, Tracks & Records, on Middlesex Street. It will open its doors on Wednesday October 10.

While the sprinter might be expected to serve up fast food, the new restaurant will offer an authentic Caribbean experience with dishes such as jerk chicken and pork, fried fish and bammy (a cassava flatbread) and more than 150 rums — 100 of which will be Jamaican.

A selection of signature cocktails will be on the drinks menu, including old favourites and a range exclusive to the venue.

Bolt’s restaurant will be split across two floors, with a large dance floor downstairs where reggae music and DJs will provide guests with entertainment until the early hours. It will also be decked out with a variety of Bolt’s sports memorabilia, modern art and vinyls.

Tracks & Records will be open from 11am to midnight every Monday to Wednesday and until 1am from Thursday to Saturday. On Sundays it will open at 10am, closing at 9:30pm.
