Wahaca is offering Londoners free meals if they go on a date with their ex

Nostalgic date: 10 free meals for 2 up for grabs at Wahaca
Luke Abrahams19 February 2018

Well, this is certainly very different.

Mexican restaurant chain Wahaca is offering Londoners the chance to go on a date with none other than their...wait for it...ex.

So why are they doing it? The whole thing was inspired by a bloke called John who got sloshed courtesy of a devilish soiree of margaritas in the Wahaca HR department – if only we could do that here...

He basically drunk called a load of people (possibly his ex) and some clever marketing types thought, 'lets give 10 meals for free for people willing to go on THAT road with their former flame'.

Boys and gals who dare to take a punt on the experience will get dinner and drinks on the house. Who knows, you might even end up together again.

The catch is that you've got to fill in a little survey filled with all the usual stuff: email address, your name, your ex's name, and hilariously, what you miss most and least about them. The judge? Well, boozy John, obviously.

Still, there's nothing better than a bit of old BYOB awkward chat, is there?

If things go nuclear, tweet us @esgolondon, because we love a little bit of drama and goss in this office.
