We Love Cheese festival returning to London

Sweet dreams are made of cheese and there’s never a bad time to chow down on a chunk of cheddar.

The We Love Cheese festival is returning to the capital for two dairy-filled days in April and May.

On April 22, Dicken’s Yard in Ealing will welcome the likes of the Raclette Brothers with their artisan alpine street food, mac ’n’ cheese gurus Mac to the Future and pizza lovers The Good Slice.

Grace Dent is set to host Ealing Bites Live in the talks tent, while Weird Beard Brew CO and wine experts Park & Bridge are teaming up with Heritage Cheese to run pairing sessions.

From Somerset Ploughman to the French Comté, fromagers are coming from far and wide and festival goers will be able to vote for their favourite to win the We Love Cheese Cup.

Across London in Deptford Market Yard on May 5, the permanent market vendors will be cooking up some cheesy specials for the day. On top of that will be grilled cheese from Meltsmiths, decadent breakfast buns from Original Fry Up Material and vegan Palestinian food from What the Fattoush.

Both events are free to attend, but tickets for the We Love Cheese Cup include tasters of all the competing cheeses and a drink.
