You can now get vegan fish and chips in London

Vegan noms: The alternative fish and chips are available at Sutton and Sons in Stoke Newington

The vegan trend just keeps on giving...

Stoke Newington chippie Sutton and Sons recently announced that it has rustled up a completely meat-free menu, which includes vegan fish and chips.

What?! Yes, it is indeed possible to make an animal-friendly version of the iconic British dish.

Instead of all that cod or plaice, they marinade banana blossom in seaweed and then smother it in a tasty rub before battering it. Luckily, chips are already vegan-friendly, so that bit's easy.

The menu also includes some other classic chip shop variations including tempura prawns made with a potato substitute and battered vegan bangers with onion gravy.

There really is nothing fishy going on.

Sutton and Sons is at Stoke Newington. 90 Stoke Newington High St, N16 7NY
