Wedding bells are understood to be on the horizon for Calvin Harris after the producer reportedly splashed out on a £1 million engagement ring for broadcaster Vick Hope earlier this year.

But there could be tensions in store for the Scottish-born DJ, who is believed to be behind the purchase of a £7.5 million house in Primrose Hill — an area understood to be home to not one, but two of his celebrity ex-girlfriends.

Neighbours have seen builders working on the five-bedroom property, which last sold almost a decade ago.

A previous listing shows a basement gym, an office and bathroom spanning the ground floor, as well as a sprawling open-plan kitchen-dining-sitting room with a balcony on the first floor. There are bedrooms on the floor above and a semi-open-plan bedroom suite covering the entirety of the third floor with a den and roof terrace at the top of the house.

The 38-year-old hitmaker dated Rita Ora, who recently showed Architectural Digest around her six-bedroom Victorian townhouse in the north London neighbourhood, in 2013-14.

The following year he got together with Taylor Swift, with Swifties speculating that a song on the singer-songwriter’s latest album, Midnights, references her relationship with Harris.

Swift is thought to spend time in Primrose Hill with her English boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, when she is in London.

Harris, who has collaborated with Dua Lipa, Rihanna and Sam Smith, among others, is the UK’s 11th richest musician, with a fortune estimated to be £220 million, according to this year’s Sunday Times Rich List.

The producer has an extensive global property portfolio and even included a track called Mansion on his 2012 album, 18 Months.

He recently listed a Beverly Hills compound for a second time with an asking price of £20.8 million ($25 million). The secluded property has a main house, a 16,000sq ft gym and a two-storey recording studio in a converted guest house, according to the listing.

He has also owned a handful of other properties in Los Angeles, including a “party house” on the Sunset Strip, which he put on the market for £6.9 million in 2016 and reportedly spent £2.3 million on a house in Somerset for his parents.

He also owns a farm in Ibiza, which is rumoured to be where he proposed to Hope earlier this year.

A representative for Harris has been approached for comment.
